After taking the day off Monday to focus on the first day of school, Coach Holtz and the Bulls were back at it today. On to the links!
1 I know that this will come as a big surprise to some, but Peter Vass told Michael Manganello that B.J. Daniels has secured the starting position at quarterback. Manganello also noted that George Baker, Thor Joswiak, and Tye Turner missed practice yesterday. Let's hope all three are back out there soon.
2. Speaking of starting quarterbacks, Brian Kelly has named Dayne Crist as the starting quarterback for Notre Dame this year. While Crist will start, I wouldn't be surprised if we see Tommy Rees at some point during the game.
3. Greg Auman has a couple of solid videos from the USF kickoff dinner Monday night. DR LOU just wanted to remind everyone that he will be rooting for USF next Saturday.
4. Really good preview on USF from the Ball State blog Over the Pylon. I'm digging the musical comparison from OtP. I'm sure we will be hearing more from OtP in a couple of weeks.
5. 1400 people at the new Corbett Soccer Stadium for the stadium opener, which included 900 students? You guys make me so proud.
