Stats In 2010: Darrell was forced to sit out last season and use his redshirt after transferring from Colorado.
Current Position On Depth Chart: Darrell was listed as a co-starter with Demetris Murray at running back on the new depth chart released earlier this week.
How He Came To USF: Darrell comes to USF as a transfer from Colorado. In two injury-plagued seasons with the Buffaloes, Scott totaled 438 yards rushing and a touchdown. Before Colorado, Scott was the premier running back in the country while with St. Bonaventure High School in Ventura, California. In Scott's senior year at SBHS, Scott rushed for 2,433 yards and 33 touchdowns. Darrell originally chose Colorado over offers from Texas, UCLA, Florida, Florida State, and pretty much every other school in the country.
Recruiting Rankings: Darrell was listed was a five-star recruit and the #1 running back prospect in the country by both Scout and Rivals.
Projected Playing Time In 2011: Scott is primed to have a solid 2011 season. Coaches have been raving about Scott since the day he walked though the door, and according to everyone he had a solid fall camp. If Scott can get all the little things down in regards to blitz recognition, and finally translate his practice success to game day, he might have the starting position all to himself before too long.
