#ALLTHETRANSFERS - UNC CB Mywan Jackson and Ohio State WR James Louis Could Land At USF

You know that this transfer stuff never ends, right? After the departure of Brandon Wilkinson and Dontae
Aycock on Sunday, Skip Holtz has two available scholarships to use. (I believe TE Michael McFarland is a walk-on for the time being.) And once again there are a couple of possible transfers who could come in and take them.

The first is Ohio State WR James Louis, who is leaving Columbus after one season due to family concerns (and possibly because of the Jim Tressel debacle). Greg Auman talked to James on Sunday, and Louis has USF as one of four possible landing spots. The former Rivals four-star recruit was recruited by the Bulls while at Delray Beach Atlantic High School, but USF couldn't get any higher than his top five.

Louis is an extremely fast and athletic player, and could immediately leapfrog a lot of people on the depth chart if he got on campus. He times his jumps extremely well, and can catch pretty much anything that comes at him. Think of James as a slightly less polished Chris Dunkley. If you'd like to see Louis' highlight video while at Atlantic, click here but make sure to mute the sound if you are at work.

As much as I would like James here, a big question would be if there was any room left for him. There are a lot of talented underclassman wide receivers on the roster like Dunkley, Sterling Griffin, Andre Davis, Deonte Welch, and Ruben Gonzalez. Add Alex Mut, who joins the team in January, and Plant City commit LaMarlin Wiggins next fall (not to mention Sean Price if he ends up playing receiver instead of tight end), and it almost becomes a numbers game for him.

Wherever James lands, he will have three years of eligibility left after sitting out this season.

The other possible transfer is North Carolina junior cornerback Mywan Jackson. If that name sounds familiar, it's because Mywan starred for Armwood High School at the same time as USF's Ryne Giddins. Jackson left Chapel Hill earlier this week due to family concerns (and possibly because of the Butch Davis fiasco), and UNC interim head coach Everett Withers said Mywan would like to play closer to home.

Jackson played a reserve role as a true freshman in 2009 for the Tar Heels before starting five games last season. Mywan tallied 20 tackles and three pass breakups, and was projected to start this season at corner.

I could see Mywan landing at USF with the current roster setup. With Quenton Washington leaving after this season, the only upperclassmen corners left on scholarship would be seniors Kayvon Webster and George Baker. Mywan could help while guys like redshirt freshmen Spencer Boyd and Ricardo Dixon, true freshman Kenneth Durden, and 2012 commits Chris Bivins and D.J. White get their feet wet in the college game.

Jackson still has his redshirt year available, so he would have two years of eligibility when he chooses a destination.

We will keep you posted as James and Mywan find a place to land.
