Daily Bull-ogosphere: September 1

September! September means football! On to the links!

1. Congrats to B.J. Daniels, Chaz Hine, Jerrell Young, and Quenton Washington, who were voted as captains by the team earlier this week. I don't think you can argue about any of the choices; all four are deserving of the honor.

2. Jose Fernandez and the women's basketball team had their Big East conference schedule released yesterday. After being forced to play their non-conference home games at the Rec Center, The Bulls will play their conference games at the University of Tampa. If you were wondering, USF will play UConn at Storrs, so no need to rent out the St. Pete Times Forum for that one.

3. Good interview of WR Coach Phil McGeoghan by Greg Auman. I can only imagine how relieved he is to have a deep and talented group of wideouts compared to the Island of Misfit Toys from last season.

4. If you can't make it to South Bend and you're near campus, head on over to the USF Baseball stadium for a watch party. Free to enter and free stuff being given out.

5. Tom Zebold over at the official site has a really good interview on women's soccer forward Demi Stokes and the journey she took to make it to Tampa from her native England.

6. Congrats to Matt Grothe, who was named as the quarterbacks coach for George Jenkins High School in Lakeland. Grothe always seemed like he was destined to coach, and this looks like the first step in doing so.
