Daily Bull-ogosphere: September 14

Good morning V5ers! We hope you guys are getting ready for the FAMU game in 3 days. On to the links!

1. Really nice profile piece on Claude Davis by Greg Auman, who has had a fantastic season so far as a pass rushing end. Really good to see him doing well after not seeing the field all that much last year.

2. After Tye Turner, Andre Davis, and Ruben Gonzalez made their USF debut last week against Ball State, it looks like OT Darrell Williams will be the fifth true freshman to see playing time this year. We will probably see Darrell see some game action this week at Florida A&M.

3. Josh Newberg over at Bulls247 has a free article up on Skip's never-ending quest to build a wall around the Tampa Bay area. Shows how much they have to work to keep the top talent home.

4. Congrats to both the men's and women's golf teams, who each had a strong showing at the GolfWeek Program Challenge. The men's team finished in a tie for 2nd place at a combined -24 during the three-day event. The women's team finished in fifth place and sophomore Christina Miller took the individual title after shooting a 66 yesterday.

5. Congrats to Belgian outside hitter Valerie El Houssine, who was named the Big East Freshman of the Week. Valerie is one of the big reasons USF did so well at the UCF Invitational last weekend, earning MVP honors after scoring double-digit kills in each of the three matches.
