DeMarcus Holland Commits To USF Basketball

Stan Heath and the USF Bulls continue to build their 2012 recruiting class as Naaman Forest guard DeMarcus Holland verbally committed to the Bulls today.

Evan Daniels of Scout.com was the first to break Holland's commitment, who is ranked as a 3-star recruit by Rivals.com. 24/7, Scout, and ESPN do not have a ranking for Holland. Holland has had a solid season so far for the Rangers, averaging 12.4 PTS/5.0 REB/3.8 AST/2.3 STL a game for Naaman Forest.

With LaVonte Dority transferring, Heath needed to find another point guard with Anthony Collins and Blake Nash as the only two ball handlers on the team. With Holland, Stan has a guy who he can develop over the first two seasons with Blake and Anthony in front of him. Holland's size will also give Nash the ability to play off the ball without having to sacrifice height on defense.

Holland is the fourth commitment for the Class of 2012, and the first commitment of the spring signing period. USF has one more scholarship left this year, and will almost certainly go after a post.
