After sweeping St. John's over the weekend, the USF Softball team continued their slow move up the polls. USF is now in sole place of the 18th position in the USA Today/NFCA Division I poll after holding the position with Oregon last week, while the Bulls moved up two spots to #16 in this week's ESPN/USA Softball poll.

While they moved up in the human polls, USF dropped two spots in this week's RPI, going from 16th to 18th this week. With USF facing some of the lower teams in the conference, their strength of schedule was sure to take a hit. This week will be no different with the Bulls taking on Providence (184 RPI) and Connecticut (83 RPI). As long as the Bulls keep winning though, the Bulls will still have a chance of hosting an NCAA Regional.

In news that surprised no one, Sara Nevins, who is a boss, once again won the Sara Nevins Big East Pitcher of the Week Award. Nevins won three games this week, and was one out away from her 4th no hitter of the year Saturday against the Red Storm. This is Nevins' 5th straight SNBEPOTW award and her 6th award overall. At this point we are running out of adjectives to describe her awesomeness. Leave some suggestions in the comments.
