Stampeding Through The USF Football Roster: #61 OG Brynjar Gudmundsson

Presswire

With apologies to David Burdetsky and The Bosnian Warhammer Mak Djulbegovic, kids getting sick at the same time left no time to get your roster countdown spots completed. Let's meet today's player, who might just have the hardest name to spell on the roster.

#61 OG Brynjar Gudmundsson
Redshirt Freshman, 6'4" 293 lbs.

Stats in 2011: Brynjar was redshirted last year, giving Jim Louk one more year without having to remember how to pronounce his name.

Current Spot on Depth Chart: Gudmundssom is listed as the backup to Damien Edwards at left guard on the post-spring depth chart.

How did he come to USF: Brynjar comes to USF via Wellington High School, just outside of Palm Beach. He chose USF over offers from FIU, UCF ans Marshall.

Recruiting Rankings: Gudmundsson was listed as a 2-star recruit by 247 (#26 OG), Rivals and Scout (#119 OG)

Projected Playing Time for 2012: With a ton of experience ahead of him on the deptth chart this year, it'll be tough for Brynjar to see significant playing time this year. Next year will be another matter with Edwards and Danous Estenor graduating.
