The Reader "Protect Your Unit" Game Is Also Returning

Earlier, I announced the return of the "Protect Your Unit" game for us bloggers. But you can also win with the reader version of our game! It's free to play, and here's how it works.

Each week you'll be asked to pick various college football games (including all of that week's Big East games) against the point spread. There will be a $10 gift certificate to Gameday Depot for the weekly winners, and a $50 gift certificate at the end of the season for the overall winner. In addition, the overall winner will be invited to join the 2013 blogger edition of Protect Your Unit, so you can match your prognostication skills against ours.

How do you sign up? Well, first you need to register with SB Nation if you haven't done that already. (Go to that link at the very top of the page that says "Sign Up" and go from there.) After that, go to Yahoo's Fantasy College Football Pick 'Em site and register for our contest with the following Group ID# and password:

Click here for the official contest rules. A couple of other things to keep in mind:

- Last year's reader contest winner, "the great gunsby", is still eligible for the reader contest, even though he's also playing in the blogger contest. Only one reader at a time in the blogger contest, though, so he will have to win the reader contest again to stay in the blogger contest in 2013.

- You may not sign up for any other pick 'em contest run by an SB Nation blog! You will be disqualified from all such contests if you do, and you will not win any prizes.

- Try and use your SB Nation username or something close to it, to make it easy to identify the winner every week.

- You can only win one $10 gift certificate per month, but obviously winning more than one week in a month will put you in great shape to win the grand prize at the end of the season.
