Skip Holtz and his coaches have been racking up the verbal commitments for the class of 2013 lately -- four of them in the last week or so alone. Let's get you caught up on who is currently set to become a Bull next season:

  • Nate Willis (CB, Arizona Western College) -- Willis committed on July 26. He's a juco cornerback who will enroll early and officially join the team in January. He had a fair amount of interest, choosing USF over offers from Iowa State, Purdue, both Kansas schools, and both Mississippi schools. 247, Rivals, and Scout all gave the 6-foot, 180-pound Willis three stars. Nate will probably be the last CB the Bulls take this year, having already received commits from Darius Whitty and Johnny Ward at SuperBull in June. Nate was also a high school teammate of Chris Dunkley at Pahokee.

  • Dominique Threatt (DT, Tri-Cities HS/East Point, GA) -- Threatt committed to USF on July 27. He was being recruited by several SEC heavyweights, although only Georgia had offered him, along with Louisville, Cincinnati, and UCF. I don't know how serious Auburn was about getting him but it's funny to see Trooper Taylor named as a recruiter on a kid. Anyway, Dominique is a three-star prospect according to Scout, 247, and Rivals (who hasn't listed him as a USF commit yet). We know he's 6-foot-2, but he has three weights listed. 247 has him at 293 pounds, Rivals has him one pound heavier, and Scout has Threatt tipping the scales at 316.
  • Robert Garcia (DE?, Jesuit HS/Tampa) -- Another local commit for the 2013 class, along with his Jesuit teammate Cameron Rupp, Plant's Mitchell Wright, and Robinson's Connor Rafferty and Bruce Hector. Garcia committed on July 30. I put a question mark next to Garcia's name since there seems to be a little confusion about what position he would play at USF. Both Scout and Rivals (who gave Garcia two stars each) have him listed at defensive end. Meanwhile, 247 had him listed as an offensive guard but referred to him as a defensive tackle in a tweet earlier this week. They haven't rated him yet -- I'm sure things will clear up once they do that. Garcia is 6-foot-3 and roughly 250 pounds.
  • Jeff Badet (WR, Freedom HS/Orlando) -- The 5-foot-11, 160-pound Badet committed to the Bulls on August 2, choosing USF over Louisville, Boston College (somehow this surprised BC Interruption), and SCUMBAGS. Badet might not have been on USF's radar until SuperBull, when he performed very well and picked up an offer. Rivals gave Jeff two stars, while Scout and 247 each gave him three. He's also the first commit to admit that Asiantii Woulard's commitment had an effect on his decision, as he explained to Larry Weisbaum at USF Nation:

The standout receiver is also very good friends with USF QB commit Asiantii Woulard and that played a role in his decision.

"Asiantii has been waiting for me to get on board, we go way back and are close friends, so he was real excited," said Badet. "I feel like we can go in there and bring USF a Big East Championship, I really do. I think we’re going to have a great recruiting class and make a big impact from the start."

Congratulations on your commitments, guys. You have chosen wisely.
