After finishing the first half of their schedule with a 4-3 record, the Bulls opened their Big East slate by hosting the Pitt Panthers on Sunday at Corbett Stadium. After 110 minutes of play time, the game concluded its double overtime and ended in a tie; 0-0.
Not the way the Bulls had hoped to start their season I’m sure. On the bright side, they outshot Pitt 21-1. Which means they shot like this guy: (NSFW, but not if you turn down the speakers)
This week the Bulls travel to New Jersey to take on two Big East rivals, Rutgers (7-3) and Seton Hall (6-4). Wins will be crucial with upcoming opponents like Louisville, Providence and Marquette coming up in the next few weeks.
USF is currently in the middle of the Big East pack; with Providence sitting at the top of the Big East American division, after their two Big East wins.
The Bulls will be back in action at Corbett Stadium twice next week versus Cincinnati (9/28) and Louisville (9/30). Come out and support your Bulls on their road to the Big East Championship at the end of October. Maybe stop by Jack Rabbit Slim's before the game... but don't bring Mia. It goes all downhill from there.
