Sterling Griffin Transfers to Louisiana Tech

Al Messerschmidt

A household name among Bulls fans in recent years, WR Sterling Griffin announced his intent to transfer from the USF team in pursuit of playing the final season of his career elsewhere. Today, Griffin revealed that he will be following his most recent football coach, Skip Holtz, to Louisiana Tech for the 2013 season. The sixth-year receiver had a promising career that had been plagued by a nagging series of lower leg injuries, including an ankle injury that forced him to redshirt in 2010, a broken foot that caused him to miss the last 4 games of 2011, and, most recently, a season-ending busted knee in the Nevada game last year. Despite all the health problems, Griffin is primed to start fresh and will be able to get on the football field for game one as soon as he arrives in Shreveport.
