USF vs. SMU Haiku

An exciting and dramatic comeback can't make up for what just happened

Win, not victory

I'm really happy for the kids. They work hard every day, and losing to a winless team that's one of the worst the FBS has ever seen wouldn't be good. But this is still not a good football team.

Your prized QB recruit just got jerked around. You know, the one you said you would stick with this week no matter what the growing pains were.

You showed absolutely no competence in any form of football outside of the 4th quarter. You were literally playing one of the worst teams ever, and won by one point with four seconds left. What does that say about you?

You RAN THE BALL ON 3RD AND GOAL WITH NO TIMEOUTS LEFT AND UNDER 30 SECONDS TO PLAY JESUS H CHRIST ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

It's a win; it's not a victory. USF still has a lot of hard questions to be asked.

Congrats to the USF players that made the trip and stuck with it. And we're still thinking about you, Quinton. I hope this gave you a reason to smile.
