It looks like a Father's Day to remember for USF men's golf coach Chris Malloy, as according to Twitter he'll head back to his alma mater to be the head coach. From Malloy's Twitter timeline:
Congrats to my former teammate Chris Malloy on being named Men's Golf Coach @ Ole Miss. Great choice @RossBjorkAD

This is a big loss for USF, but you can't blame a guy for wanting to take over at the school where he was a player. Malloy is an '01 graduate of the Rebels and former Ole Miss head coach Ernest Ross was fired after the 2014 season.
After four seasons as an assistant at FSU, Malloy took over USF in 2010 and has built a consistently winning program in Tampa. In 2013 USF claimed the Big East Championship and he was named conference Coach Of The Year. The Bulls also made back-to-back NCAA appearances as a team in '13 and '14, something the program had only done once in its entire D-1 history before (1987).
USF also has talented returnees in Malloy recruits Chase Koepka (who made the round of 32 in the US Amateur last year) and Trey Valentine, and a fantastic new facility in the $1.3 million Chowdahari Golf Center. It's a great job that the new coach will inherit, and Malloy gets a big chunk of the credit for the success and turnaround. He will be missed, and all the best to him.
