The American Athletic Conference officially released the kickoff times/network affiliations for several games for the upcoming season on Wednesday, including five USF games. Here's a full list below:
As you can see, the Bulls will get hooked up with a few 7 p.m. kickoffs their in first two games vs. Towson (September 3) and Northern Illinois (September 10) on ESPN3 and CBS Sports Network, respectively. This is a definitive win for those of us who hate baking in Raymond James Stadium in early season September heat, so yay.
USF's Week Three road contest at the Carrier Dome vs. Syracuse (September 17) will take place at 3:30 p.m. and air on ESPN3. Willie Taggart's bunch will look to duplicate what they did last year vs. the Orange and their new head coach Dino Babers.
As expected, the two late-October Friday nighters, at Temple on October 21 and at home vs. Navy on October 28, will kickoff at 7 p.m. on ESPN and ESPN2, respectively. Hopefully USF will be positioning themselves for a conference title and possible New Year's Six bid and can take advantage of the extra exposure.
The kickoff times and networks for USF's remaining seven games vs. Florida State, Cincinnati, East Carolina, UConn, Memphis, SMU, and UCF will all be determined twelve days in advance of the game by ESPN and CBS. So as usual, the better the Bulls are down the stretch, the better time slots they'll receive.
The second American Athletic Conference Championship Game will take place at the site of the division winner with the best conference record on December 3 at noon on ABC/ESPN. Keep that date and time in mind for future reference.
