College Football Week 2 TV Schedule

New, 3 comments

This week’s games are really awful, but we would have taken even the worst game on this schedule back in July, so can we complain that much? I think not.

Matt Lytle #8

While you’re waiting until 7:00 p.m. for the USF-Northern Illinois game, there’s plenty of college football action to keep you entertained*. Here are all the games to choose from.

Personally, this is where my attention will be today:

Noon - mostly watching Pittsburgh and Penn State, because I’m old enough to remember what a huge game this used to be. Occasional looks at UCF-Michigan, and also at Cincinnati-Purdue, to see if my “Tommy Tuberville is going to start mailing it in this year” prediction begins coming true.

3:30 - Since I don’t have CBSSN, I’ll be flipping channels a lot. Lot of train wreck potential with games like Kentucky-Florida on the docket. I’d watch Western Kentucky-Alabama to see if the Toppers can even get buckets against Bama, but then I’d have to sit there and watch Bama. I find college football is more fun when I pretend Alabama isn’t a thing.

7:00 - I’ll have to find a place to watch the USF game, and hopefully I’ll be able to sneak some peeks at Arkansas-TCU and Iowa-Iowa State, better known around SB Nation as El Assico. I’ll confess, I’m not really that interested in Tennessee-Virginia Tech.

10:00 - Get home from the USF game as fast as you can for what should be some spectacular #Pac12AfterDark. Texas Tech-Arizona State could legitimately last five hours.
