Seventeen syllables and some initial thoughts from the Bulls’ 56-20 win.

It counts as a win

But plenty to clean up, too

Lotsa potential.

The Bulls back are in action, and they looked comfortable running all over FCS’s Towson Tigers.

Quick Notes:

  • Quinton Flowers ran for two touchdowns, and rushed for two more. Marlon Mack was averaging 5.6 yards per carry before he was sidelined with a shoulder injury.
  • Brett Kean, who beat Asiantii Woulard for the backup spot, played a lot in the third and fourth quarters, and threw for his first two career touchdowns.
  • Nigel Harris was back with a vengeance, notching a sack, a TFL, and an interception returned for 49 yards.
  • Special teams left a lot to be desired in terms of punting and kick coverage.
  • Beating an FCS opponent 56-20 seems right around where USF should be to start the year.

More coming from us later.
