Super Bowl Champion B.J. Daniels Returns to Super Bowl With Falcons

The obvious key to making the Super Bowl in the NFL is signing B.J. Daniels to your practice squad. Ask the Seahawks and now the Falcons.

After mauling Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers 44-21 in the NFC Championship game, the Atlanta Falcons are heading to Super Bowl LI in Houston.

But what was the key to their success? Was it Matt Ryan capping off an MVP-caliber season? Was it Julio Jones doing Julio Jones things? Was it the entire Falcons organization “Rising Up” in their final game in the Georgia Dome?

Wrong, wrong, and wrong. There is no other valid answer other than the fact that B.J... sorry, SUPER BOWL CHAMPION B.J. Daniels is currently on their practice squad.

The former USF quarterback was signed to the Falcons’ practice squad roster in mid-December. Atlanta has won all four of their games since that fateful day.

Daniels will now attend his third Super Bowl in four years. He got his first ring as part of the Seattle Seahawks squad that roasted the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII, and WOULD BE TWO-TIME SUPER BOWL CHAMPION B.J. DANIELS IF PETE CARROLL JUST GAVE THE DANG BALL TO MARSHAWN LYNCH ON THE GOAL LINE made a return to the big game the following year. Now he’ll have a chance to get a second ring with the Falcons.

Get yourself another ring in Houston, B.J. And as always, remember to practice Falcons awareness.
