#37 CB Nate Ferguson - Junior, 5’9”, 180 lbs.

2016 Stats: Ferguson played in seven games, mostly in the first half of the season. He made a total of nine tackles and recovered a fumble to end a Syracuse drive very close to halftime. His playing time tailed off as the season went on, and we’re not sure why. Undisclosed injury, maybe?

2015 Stats: Ferguson appeared in five games as a true freshman and made two tackles -- one in the first game of the year against Florida A&M, and the other in the last game of the year against Western Kentucky.

How He Came To USF: Nate played his senior year at Tampa's Sickles High School, after transferring from nearby Gaither. Even though he only was able to play five games for the Gryphons (at least according to the MaxPreps stats), Nate had 28 tackles, three TFL, an interception, and two blocked kicks. Ferguson flipped from Eastern Michigan to USF right before signing day in February 2015.

High School Highlights: Yep.

Recruiting Rankings: 247 and Scout gave Ferguson three stars. Scout gave him two, while ESPN did not rate him.

Follow Him On... Ferguson is on Twitter at @Nate2Ferguson. He has a very old Instagram account, but deleted or moved a newer one since the last time we checked.
