Watch List Watch: Quinton Flowers Is Nominated For All The Awards

The USF quarterback is up for four awards now. Deatrick Nichols, Auggie Sanchez, and D’Ernest Johnson also make the Watch List Watch.

Watch List Watch missed a few nominations to college football award watch lists. We’re going to catch you up now, but just so you know: most of these are for Quinton Flowers.

As a follow-up tweet from USF points out, Flowers is the first USF football player to ever be named to four preseason award watch lists. Last year Quinton became a Walter Camp Award semifinalist, and there’s a good chance he will stay on all of these award lists for most or all of the 2017 season.

Right behind Flowers’ four watch lists is cornerback Deatrick Nichols, who made his way onto a third list at the end of last week:

His defensive teammate Auggie Sanchez was also named to his second watch list of the preseason, this one for off-the-field excellence:

Finally, running back/receiver/kick returner/punt returner D’Ernest Johnson again made the watch list of one of my favorite awards:

This makes a total of 13 watch list appearances for USF football players, split up among Flowers, Johnson, Cameron Ruff, Mitchell Wilcox, Deadrin Senat, Sanchez, Nichols, and Jonathan Hernandez.

By the way — we got the fall practice schedules in our email box tonight. It all gets going on Monday at 4:30 p.m. on USF’s old practice fields. Football season... ENGAGE.
