#48 TE Spencer Adkinson - 5th Year Senior, 6’3”, 245 lbs.

2016 Stats: Adkinson finally made his first appearance in a USF football game. He didn’t record any statistics, but he did play against Northern Illinois, East Carolina, and UConn.

2015 Stats: Did not see action, although he did make The American’s academic all-conference team.

2014 Stats: Did not play.

2013 Stats: Redshirt season.

How He Came To USF: Adkinson played at Indian Rocks Christian School in Largo. He played tight end and linebacker and racked up a variety of statistics for the Golden Eagles:

  • Nine carries for 59 yards and 3 TDs
  • 35 catches for 578 yards and 10 TDs
  • 130 tackles, 15 TFL, 7 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 3 fumble recoveries

Adkinson was also known for an incident that was more about the FHSAA's severe punishment than what he actually did. We don't know if he was on track to get any scholarship offers before that went down, but he ended up walking on to USF's team in the summer of 2013.

Recruiting Rankings: Spencer was not rated by any recruiting agency.
