Nichols was a major factor in the defense holding Temple to just 85 yards of total offense, the fewest allowed to an FBS team in program history. He intercepted two passes and forced a fumbled that linebacker Nico Sawtelle fell on en route to six turnovers forced by USF on the night.
Nichols asked coaches in the spring to move him inside to nickelback and has thrived in the new role in 2017.
Nadelman made all five of his field goal attempts, which is an AAC single-game record and tied the USF record. He also set the program and conference single-game record for points by a kicker with 19.
