After appearing on the Conference’s Weekly Honor Roll ten times in the past two seasons, the senior from Denmark finally earned the top honor following her 24-point, six rebound performance against the Temple Owls on Sunday.
Jespersen finished the matinee shooting an eye-popping 8-of-11 from the floor, 2-of-3 from three-point range and 6-of-7 on free throws in 38 minutes of play. For those of you not great at math, that’s 73% from the floor, 86%(!!!) from behind the arc and 86% at the line. She also added two blocks and two assists to her remarkable stat line.
She’s been resurgent in conference play, leading the team with 18.1 points per game while putting up her fourth 20-point game, seventh overall.
The senior forward and her Bulls will look to continue to build with conference road games at Tulsa on Wednesday and Tulane on Saturday.
