USF sophomore kicker Coby Weiss received recognition for his performance in the Bulls’ 25-24 comeback victory over Tulsa on Friday night, being named the AAC Special Teams Player of the Week.
The Tennessee State transfer was 2-for-2 on field goals at Tulsa, including a 22-yarder to put USF on the board in the first quarter and a game-winner with just two seconds remaining from the same distance to complete the comeback.
Weiss is now 6-for-8 on field goals this season and becomes the fourth conference player of the week honor for USF in 2018.
Junior running back Jordan Cronkrite, after running for 151 yards and a big 66-yard touchdown in the win against the Golden Hurricane, was also named to the conference Honor Roll.
