Venice DT Tyrone Barber Signs Letter of Intent for USF Football

The Bulls added yet another #Stampede18 weapon to its defensive front.

Another interior defensive lineman will be making his way to Tampa as Venice defensive tackle Tyrone Barber has signed his LOI to come to USF.

After verbally committing to USF on July 19, the three-star DT helped lead his Venice Indians to the Class 7A state championship in a year in which, according to MaxPreps, he racked up a monstrous 137 tackles (13 for loss), 6.5 sacks and three pass deflections.

Interestingly enough in said state title game, he went head-to-head with fellow #Stampede18 signee, Bartram Trail center Brad Cecil.

Barber remained quiet on social media throughout the entire recruiting process. He did flirt with and take an official visit to Syracuse back in January, but ultimately decided to stick with the home state team.

Oh, and by the looks of the video below, he seems to be a pretty good trash talker as well.
