Tallahassee Lincoln TE Kamari Morales Decommits from USF Football

The three-star tight end will visit Ole Miss this weekend.

Three-star Tallahassee Lincoln tight end Kamari Morales decommitted from USF on Saturday, now leaving Riverview safety T.J. Robinson as the only current verbal commit for #GreenBreed19.

Committing to USF last July, the 850-product had a monster junior campaign where he hauled in 57 receptions for 603 yards and nine touchdowns to lead the Trojans in receiving.

Morales’ play last fall got the attention of a pair of SEC programs as both Kentucky and Ole Miss offered him. The Tallahassee native will make his way up to Oxford this Saturday for their “Grove Bowl” spring game.

While there’s obviously still time between now and December to either get Morales back on board or find his replacement, this is a huge blow considering the Green and Gold’s lack of tight end depth.

We’ll see where the mid-three-star prospect ultimately ends up.

In other recruiting news, USF welcomed several prospects to campus on Saturday for their annual junior day.

For those unfamiliar, junior day is an invite-only event where up-and-coming prospects get to visit campus, see the facilities, and exchange contacts with coaches. For most, it’s their first time getting an opportunity to see campus up close.

Bud Elliott went into detail about the concept of junior day a few years ago.

As always, go follow our friend Dakotah Wilson at Bulls247 for more analysis of who actually visited and their impressions of the program.
