For the Bulls, this is a great accomplishment to earn a postseason bid despite suffering four season-ending injuries to seniors Kitija Laksa, Laura Ferriera, freshman Beatriz Jordao, and redshirt freshman Silvia Serrat.
This may be head coach Jose Fernandez’s greatest coaching performance to date. He and his staff managed to win 18 games while playing only seven players most nights, including two true freshmen logging major minutes in the backcourt.
The Bulls’ opponent, Stetson finished the season 16-14, but went 11-5 in the Atlantic Sun Conference. They lost three of their last four games including a loss to Kennesaw State in the ASUN tournament.
Tickets start at $12 in the 200 level and $17 in 100 level. Student tickets are free.
