Jones is a welcomed addition to an already stacked Early Signing Day roster, and in a position that the Bulls were looking to load up on with 5 new additions to the defensive backfield. As a recruit in 2019, he had an outstanding career at Mansfield Summit, recording 48 career tackles, eight interceptions, and 15 passes defended while getting all-district honors his junior and senior year.
At Kansas State, he seldom saw the field his freshmen year, recording only one tackle in 2019, which was a tackle for loss against Bowling Green. In 2020, he recorded 15 tackles in six games played and notched an interception against Arkansas State. If he’s immediately eligible, it’s believed he will have four years available after redshirting his freshmen year at Kansas State, and regaining an extra year of eligibility this past season due to COVID-19.
