USF held its biggest pro day ever yesterday in front of 50 scouts and coaches from 26 NFL teams (plus the Hamilton Tiger-Cats) and a gaggle of media members.
Among the participants were Jason Pierre-Paul, Nate Allen, Matt Grothe, George Selvie, and others. But the general consensus is that Carlton Mitchell helped himself the most. Mitchell has been rising up draft boards steadily ever since declaring for the draft in January, and he ran a 4.40 40 at the pro day, his fastest time so far and very impressive for a 6'3", 212-pound receiver.
If you'd like to read our thoughts on three potential NFL draftees, I put together draft profiles on Carlton Mitchell, Nate Allen, and Jason Pierre-Paul before we moved over to SB Nation, and they're available by clicking on each link.
