Good Morning V5ers! We hope you all are enjoying your Memorial Day, and make sure to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in protecting our country.

1. We didn't get to this when the clinched, but congrats to former USF soccer player Neven Subotic, who played on the Borussia Dortmund team that won the German Bundesliga this season. Subotic has turned into one of the finer central defenders in the world, and is starting to gain some attention from the bigger clubs England. We wish Neven the best, and good luck in the Champions League with Dortmund next season.

2.On Friday, we mentioned pole vaulter Stephanie Duffy reaching the NCAA Track and Field Championships, and over the weekend three more Bulls punched their tickets for the finals. On Friday, David Aristil won the 400-meter hurdles in the East Regionals, and steeplechase runner Nicole Rozario claimed the final qualifying spot after beating her personal best by more than six seconds. Saturday saw discus thrower Jared Thomas toss his way to the finals after he finished fifth in the East Regionals with a throw of 183'10". We wish all four of you the best at the NCAA Championships.

3. The USF Sailing team finished their season this past weekend with a strong 12th place showing at the NCSA Championship in Cascade Locks, Oregon. The Bulls finished with 150 points, while the University of Rhode Island won with a total score of 83. Congrats on another strong season.

4. Phil Steele came out with his All-Big East teams over the weekend, and the only Bull on the first team was kick returner Lindsey Lamar. Our friends at Big East Coast Bias has the entire list for you. West Virginia leads all schools with 10 players named to the first team.

5. The Shambolic Jim Burr lives to fight another day! Gary's selection of "callous" almost pulled out a come-from-behind victory over "decrepit," but they were tied for last place and were both eliminated. Head over to Anonymous Eagle to make your next vote, and remember: vote for anything but "shambolic."

(One edit to account for sailing not being an NCAA-sanctioned sport.)
