There was some bad news this morning, as former USF FB/TE Kevin Gidrey was released by the Washington Redskins. Gidrey signed as an undrafted free agent by Washington right after the NFL lockout was lifted, and he seemed to have a decent shot at making the roster or at the very least the practice squad. Gidrey was replaced on the roster by former Boise State and St. Louis Rams TE Derek Schouman.
This year hasn't been the best for our former Bulls. Over the past couple of weeks, WR Dontavia Bogan tore his ACL with the San Fransisco 49ers and CB Jerome Murphy broke his ankle while in camp with the St. Louis Rams.
Here's hoping that Kevin can sign on with a team quickly so he can learn that team's playbook as soon as possible.
