Good Monday Morning V5ers! We hope you guys had a better day yesterday than Arsenal. On to the links!
1. If you thought that Manchester United's 8 goals against the Gooners would be the highest you'd see yesterday, well, you'd be wrong. The Lady Half-Hoops dropped a 9-spot on Alabama A&M in their shutout victory at the Corbett Soccer Stadium yesterday. Coach Denise Schilte-Brown's squad is now 2-0-1 after defeating Indiana 2-1 in the home opener on Friday.
2. Wondering where the football updates have been the last couple of days? There haven't been any because the team has been off all weekend after their scrimmage on Friday. Greg Auman talked with Coach Holtz and Skip said he wanted to give the guys a rest after a tough camp. Skip also said that Andre Davis, Ruben Gonzalez, Elkino Watson, and Mattias Ciabatti will play this week no matter what.
3. Tom Zebold over at GoUSFBulls.com has a good feature on B.J. Daniels, as he is finally comfortable with an offense after spending the last three seasons with three different coordinators.
4. Not the best start for the volleyball team, as they dropped both matches at the New Mexico Invite this weekend. They'll be home this weekend participating in the USF Invitational.
5. While USF won't have either of their big man signees available this year, UConn grabbed the best center in the Class of 2011. Oh and they'll have a player give up a scholarship because their APR penalties mean they don't have enough to go around. Awesome. It's like we're not even in the same stratosphere.
