EDITOR'S NOTE: Of course we're not going to stop the game just because the Big East is totally going to shit. Not this year, anyway. Let's all still be friends.
------------
This was one of the most successful weeks in the short history of this game. The much-feared Edsalling did not come to pass, and a lot of fake money was made on West Virginia's win over Maryland. There were some other good bets, too. In fact, not counting the crazy parlay phase from the end of last year, this is the first time that everyone in the game has collectively exceeded the total starting bankroll. Congratulations everyone!
Of course next week we'll all screw up badly and be right back in the dumps. Maybe.
Here are the standings after three weeks. The attached Excel file has the complete picks and a graph of everyone's progress.

BEST BET: Everyone who won big on the West Virginia line deserves mention, but I won the most fake money by picking the Mountaineers on the money line for 240 fake dollars. There was a real possibility that Maryland could have won that game 38-37, which meant West Virginia +2 would have still paid off. It would have been an ugly scene in my house if that had happened.
WORST BET: Ken's in last place because instead of just taking his free money on the West Virginia game, he parlayed it for 248 fake dollars with Boise State/Toledo over 60, and Houston giving 7 to Louisiana Tech. I even told Ken how he was going to blow that bet -- I predicted the Broncos would win 49-10 (not bad, they won 40-15). And then Houston won by only a point, but it didn't matter by then.
MOST DEGENERATE BET: Kevin wasn't the only person who fake bet the over in the Cincinnati/Akron game. But he was the only one who did so without even considering that the Zips might also score points. We were both right - the Bearcats won 59-10 and covered the 56.5 over/under line on their own.
