USF hasn't won a conference game since beating Syracuse last season on November 11, 2011.
In all, the Bulls are 1-10 in Big East the past two seasons, and 4-14 in Skip Holtz's tenure in Tampa. Holtz did not beat West Virginia and has yet to beat UConn, Temple, or Pittsburgh.
USF hasn't won a home game vs. FBS competition since beating UTEP 52-34 on September 24, 2011.
USF has had its shots, losing close games at home to Cincinnati in last year's homecoming, Connecticut, Miami, West Virginia, and the most recent matchup with Syracuse.
If I haven't ruined your lunch break yet, don't worry.
In USF's last two years, they're 5-13 against FBS competition.
Their point differential in those 18 games is a total of -12.
A loss vs. UConn will mark the earliest in a season USF has ever been eliminated from bowl contention.
In 2004 the Bulls went 4-7, but didn't get their sixth loss (it was an 11-game season) until November 27th.
USF has never had a losing record two years in a row.
USF must win out in order to be eligible for a bowl game this year after missing out last season, and then they have to win the bowl game to avoid this fate.
USF is 1-10 at home against BCS competition under Skip Holtz.
In its early years as a program, they once had a span of a 32-2 home record.
USF has held exactly three opponents to single digits in the past three seasons: FAU in 2010, and Ball State and Miami last year.
They did that three times in 2009 alone.
And here's the one that bothers me the most:
USF has lost 13 games when tied or leading in the fourth quarter.
Finally, this one is kind of funny:
Syracuse's second half performance against USF last Saturday scored 34 points. That's more than their basketball team scored against USF in either half.
It'll be basketball season in a little while, folks.
