USF Bubble Watch: February 23rd

With USF sitting right on the bubble, I think its time to do a daily rundown of fellow bubble teams and see who to root for each night. We will do this every night until either USF is completely out of the picture or achieves lock status, whichever comes first.

There isn't much going on tonight, but there are a few games for Bulls fans to keep an eye on. All times are Eastern

Alabama at Arkansas, 7:00 PM, ESPN2

Team to root for: Arkansas

While Arkansas has a slim chance to grab an at-large birth, Alabama would be in big danger if they lost to the Razorbacks tonight. The Crimson Tide have been in freefall after Anthony Grant suspended four of their players, and a loss tonight would bring them closer to the bubble.

Louisville at Cincinnati, 9:00 PM, ESPN

Team to root for: Louisville

This one should be self-explanatory. The Bearcats are right there with USF as a Big East bubble team, and a win against the Cardinals would bring them one step closer to lock status.

Southern Cal at Arizona, 8:30 PM

Team to root for: Southern Cal

Like Arkansas, Arizona is on the fringe of the bubble. A loss to the Trojans would end any hope of the Wildcats grabbing an at-large.

Stanford at Colorado, 10:30 PM

Team to root for: N/A

Its basically an elimination match. Whoever loses will start focusing on the NIT, while the winner will have to go on a major winning streak to gain consideration from the committee.

BYU at Gonzaga, 11:00 PM

Team to root for: Gonzaga

The 'Zags are comfortably in while BYU still has some work to go. A win over the Bulldogs would give the Cougars some distance between them and the rest of the bubble, including USF.
