USF's 2013 opponents won't change, because they were already going to miss Boise State and San Diego State in conference play. It's unclear whether any of the specific home or road games will change. But we'll find out when and where all those games are soon enough.

I think Uncle Luke's analysis is a bit overblown, at least as long as USF is in the Purgatory League. But I'm in favor of calling anything a power move. Bold football flavors. USF women dominate Hoyas for crucial 63-35 win | Tampa Bay Times
The women's basketball team bounced back from Saturday's loss to UConn by demolishing the Hoyas. Georgetown shot an abysmal 17% from the floor. They only scored eight points in the first half, and they were still at 11 points with 12 minutes to go before the Bulls backed off them. Courtney Williams led USF with 18 points, and Andrell Smith added 16. Sugar Rodgers had 20 points for Georgetown, but most of them were in garbage time, and she only shot 5-for-21.
On the upside, USF finishes the regular season at 20-9 and 9-7 in Big East play. On the downside, they match up with Rutgers again in the Big East tournament quarterfinals, and they could use another win to solidify their spot in the NCAA Tournament. It's a downside because the Scarlet Knights have a 37-1 lead in the all-time series.

Mark Blaudschun talks about the cash that is likely to end up in USF's hands (along with Cincinnati and UConn's hands) as a result of all the exit fees and NCAA shares being given up by everyone leaving the conference. It could total as high as $25 million. A lot of that will be invested in things like checks reading "Pay to the Order of Skip Holtz," but we may do a more serious post to talk about what USF should consider doing with the money.

USF's Jordan Omogbehin, the largest ever at 7-foot-3, was lucky to have a doctor notice a hand tremor that led to the removal of a tumor.
James Ramsay won the Big East player of the week award primarily for his big game on Sunday, which included a home run and a walk-off, three-run triple that capped USF's big ninth-inning rally to beat Toledo. The Bulls scored six times in the bottom of the ninth to win it 9-8 and take two out of three games from the Rockets.
