The defensive line was a strength for USF last season, so it's little surprise that the defensive unit has two players at the NFL combine. Junior Aaron Lynch declared one year early for the draft and joined senior Tevin Mims at the combine.

On Friday, the two arrived at the combine and their measurements were taken. The two will complete on field work outs with the other defensive lineman and linebackers on Monday.

Here's where they stand so far:

Tevin Mims:

Mims measured 6'4" and 260 lbs., up from his 6'3" and 246 lbs. that USF had him listed on gousfbulls.com. His arms were measured at 33 1/2" and his hands are 9 3/8."

Below is an excerpt from Mims' initial scouting analysis from NFL.com:

A junior-college product, Mims was an undersized college rush end, though he recorded just 3.5 sacks in 21 games at USF and is actually at his best during the latter portion of the play when he kicks into pursuit mode. Best chance will come as developmental, situational 4-3 right end or stand-up rush linebacker, though he must turn up the heat more consistently to stick.

Aaron Lynch:

Lynch measured 6'5" and 249 lbs., just off of the 6'6" and 244 lbs. he measured at USF. He's also has 34'' arms and 10 1/4" hands.

Below is an excerpt from Lynch's initial scouting analysis from NFL.com:

A big, athletic prospect who displayed the most potential as a freshman at Notre Dame. Has underachieved since transferring closer to home and shedding considerable weight. Must prove motivated to reach his potential. Finished the season strong and finally showed signs of the talent he displayed as a standout freshman. Could benefit from a strong, mentoring, veteran position coach. Interview process will dictate draft status.

As of now CBS has him listed as a 6th round pick. Here's another review of Lynch from the Jaguars SBNation site.

We'll have updates throughout the week on Lynch and Mims at the combine.
