Notes:

-- USF opens with four home games, hosting Western Carolina, Maryland, North Carolina State, and UConn to start the season. The team should have its feet under it before the week 5 game in Madison against Wisconsin.

--NO THURSDAY GAMES!!! For the first time since 2006, USF has no Thursday night games scheduled. The conference does have Thursday games scheduled for other teams, but none for USF. Now, there's a lot of time between now and week 1, so the conference could move a game to Thursday. But so far, so go.

--While there are no Thursday games, USF does have three Friday games: UConn, at Tulsa, and the now-customary Black Friday game against UCF.

--Along with Tulsa and Memphis, USF is one of three schools with a bye the final week of the season. With 11 teams, the AAC was going to have at least one team with a bye that week, but having three teams off is a little weird. Would have been nice to have that bye earlier in the season.

From the conference's point of view, though, they probably don't want to showcase these teams since they combined for an 8-28 record last season.
