Surprise! In a draft where many expected the Bulls to have zero draftees, they now have two. Former USF center Austin Reiter was drafted with the fifth pick in the seventh round by the Washington Redskins (222nd overall).
Reiter wasn't invited to the NFL Combine, but he had a very nice showing at USF's Pro Day and was probably USF's best offensive lineman last season. He was a three-year starter for the Bulls at center. He still likely faces long odds to make a roster, but this is a wonderful first step.
Congratulations to Austin! We'll keep you posted on any more Bulls who hear their names called this evening.
