Stats in 2014: Knox redshirted for the 2014 season.
Spot On Preseason Depth Chart: Knox is listed as the backup left tackle behind Kofi Amichia on the spring depth chart.
How He Came to USF: Ben played for coach James Thomson at DeLand High School, where he was selected to play in the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl. During his senior season Knox was rated as the No. 18 offensive tackle nationally and No. 52 Florida recruit by ESPN RecruitingNation. Knox was also ranked 15th in Bright House Sports Network Top 20 list. Ben was a two-sport athlete, football and basketball, and held offers from Power 5 schools like Florida, Louisville, Tennessee, Iowa and N.C State among others.
Recruiting Rankings: Knox was rated a 4-star by ESPN, and given 3-stars by both 247 Sports & Rivals.
Projected Playing Time in 2015: I believe there is a very strong chance that Knox becomes the starter at left tackle during fall camp. Knox is a big body who could pair nicely with incoming Stanford transfer Reilly Gibbons.
