Only Alex Salvato Days Until USF Football

If all goes well, Salvato should be on the field in every game.

#59 LS Alex Salvato
Junior, 5'11, 200 lbs.

Stats in 2014: Salvato was the Bulls' long snapper in each game in 2014. He also recorded a tackle!

Spot on Spring Depth Chart: Starter at long snapper, ahead of freshman Zach Stewart.

How He Came to USF: Salvato made the USF roster as a walk-on prior to the 2012 season. He was a good find for USF, since they only had one other long snapper on the roster. He went to Victory Christian Academy, a Class 2A (very small) high school in Lakeland. In addition to long snapping, he played some safety and defensive end.

Recruiting Rankings: Alex is in the Rivals database, but did not receive a ranking.

Projected Playing Time: Salvato was relatively steady in 2014. If he keeps that up, he won't have to worry about keeping the job. It's nice to have an insurance policy in Stewart, though.

Fun Fact: Salvato earned the Most Improved Player award at last season's USF football banquet (see the above picture). Hooray for long snapper recognition!
