Escape From the Cellar
With under a month left in the regular season, USF baseball has high hopes to end the season with some momentum in an otherwise injury-riddled season. After dropping a close 6-5 contest to FIU on Tuesday, Mark Kingston's club will attempt to begin their ascent out dead last in the AAC when they take on UCF.
Since winning their last series vs. USF a few weeks back, the artists formerly known as the Citronauts have dropped four of their last five contests and look to get back on the winning track in Tampa this weekend. USF right out the gate will have to deal with AAC wins leader Robby Howell on Friday, who carried a no-hitter into the seventh in his last outing vs. the Bulls on the way to a 4-0 shutout on April 16th.
Also, BASEDOGS. Bring your dog to the either the baseball or softball game on Saturday for USF's Bark With the Bulls promotion. Only two dogs per person, so don't go overboard.

When: Friday 4/29 (4 p.m.), Saturday 4/30 (4 p.m.), Sunday (5 p.m.)
Where To Find It: Bullsvision on Friday and Saturday. Sunday's game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
Closing Out Strong
With roughly two weeks until the AAC Softball Tournament in Tulsa, the Bulls close out the regular season on their home field against UCF in a battle of 1 vs 2 in the American.
#17 South Florida has been of the hottest teams in the entire nation since early March, winning 34 of their last 36 games and would love nothing more than to put an exclamation point on their season by taking down their in-state conference rivals.
Senior pitcher Erica Nunn boasts a 25-7 record (second in the nation in wins) and has held AAC opponents scoreless over the last 37 innings. Sophomore Astin Donovan has been recognized for her dominance at the plate, being named both AAC and USA Softball Collegiate National Player of the Week this past week. And finally, we already covered Lee Ann Spivey becoming the all-time home-run queen of USF softball, so come to the stadium and see her rake more out the park this weekend.
