#72 OL Brooks Larkin
Redshirt Freshman, 6'3", 308 lbs.
2015 Stats: Larkin redshirted last year.
Position on Depth Chart: Larkin is listed as the backup center following spring practice.
How He Came To USF: Brooks played at a familiar high school -- Bradenton Manatee, the same school Willie Taggart attended. He featured on two Hurricanes teams that went deep in the state playoffs. In 2012 they reached the Class 7A state semifinals, then made it to the regional semifinals in Class 8A in 2013.
Some reports said Larkin committed to the Air Force Academy in the 2014 recruiting cycle. But he actually went to the Air Force Academy Preparatory School. The Preparatory School is a 10-month program that often leads would-be cadets to the Air Force Academy. But Larkin was not down with Colorado Springs pretty early on.
Can't I just focus on grades and lifting and get out of this hell hole?

After the program ended, Larkin came back to Florida and enrolled at USF. Coincidentally, the player he's backing up at center, Michael Galati, was his teammate at Manatee.
You can check out some of Larkin's AFAPS highlights on his Hudl page.
Recruiting Rankings: Larkin was not ranked by any of the recruiting services.
Projected Playing Time: It all comes down to how ready he is to play DIVISION ONE FOOTBALL. He had a year of practice, so he's not going to be a total deer in the headlights out there. We think he'll play, but maybe not as much as some of the other more experienced backups on the offensive line.
