Only Michael Galati Days Until USF Football Season

#68 finds himself at the center of the Gulf Coast Offense this season.

Jonathan Dyer-USA TODAY Sports

#68 C Michael Galati
Redshirt Sophomore, 6'3", 283 lbs.

2015 Stats: Galati was the backup center to Brynjar Gudmundsson and appeared in games against Florida A&M, SMU, and Cincinnati.

Position on Depth Chart: With Gudmundsson having graduated, Galati is now USF's starting center.

How He Came To USF: Like his fellow lineman Brooks Larkin and their head coach, Michael went to Manatee High School in Bradenton. He played all across the offensive line and at tight end, helping the Hurricanes win the Class 7A state championship in 2011. In 2013, his senior year, he was second team all-state in Class 8A. Galati committed to USF in August 2013.

Recruiting Rankings: 247 and Rivals gave Galati two stars. Scout and ESPN gave him three stars.

Projected Playing Time: It's harder to rotate the center on the offensive line than any other position; otherwise the timing on the exchange or shotgun snap can get disrupted. If Galati is healthy and the game's not completely out of hand, he'll play.

Follow Him On... If Michael's on Twitter or Instagram, we can't find him. Sorry, you'll have to settle for following him on the field.
