#15 DE Vincent Jackson
Redshirt Sophomore, 6'3", 256 lbs.
2015 Stats: Jackson played in nine games last season, recording a tackle of Cincinnati's Hosey Williams for a two-yard loss in USF's blowout win.
Position on Depth Chart: Vincent was the starting strong-side defensive end, labeled "Bull" in USF's terminology, following spring practice.
How He Came To USF: Jackson was a blue-chip defender at Tampa's Jesuit High School, starting all four years for the Tigers. Stats for his senior year are incomplete, but in his first three seasons he racked up 149 tackles, 32 TFL, 22 sacks, and three fumble recoveries. He also played a little bit of tight end and running back, and threw the shotput and discus for the Jesuit track team. Vincent had offers from all over, including Alabama, Ohio State, USC, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and Oregon. The most serious competitor for his signature was Missouri, but on signing day, Jackson chose the Bulls.

Recruiting Rankings: ESPN gave Jackson four stars. Rivals, 247, and Scout all gave him three.
Projected Playing Time: Jackson is going to be heavily counted on this season, which is kind of worrisome. USF's most vulnerable position might be defensive end. Like all of the Bulls' other options there, Jackson hasn't made much of an impact up to now. Only one of the two JUCO ends in USF's 2016 recruiting class has made it to campus, and he might be needed on the weak side to replace the one who hasn't. Vincent will get plenty of reps, and his team will really need him to #DoSomething.

Trivia: Jackson's father is also named Vincent, but he is not related to the Bucs' wide receiver with the same name. However, the younger Jackson does have some famous cousins, like Justin Gatlin and Daunte Culpepper.
