USF Football Player Profile: #72 OL Brooks Larkin

Career profile of USF offensive lineman Brooks Larkin.

NCAA Football: South Florida at Temple Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

#72 OL Brooks Larkin - Redshirt Sophomore, 6’3”, 315 lbs.

2016 Stats: Larkin made his first appearances for USF against Northern Illinois and Temple.

2015 Stats: Brooks took his redshirt year.

How He Came To USF: Brooks played at Bradenton’s Manatee High School. He featured on two Hurricanes teams that went deep in the state playoffs. In 2012 they reached the Class 7A state semifinals, then made it to the regional semifinals in Class 8A in 2013.

Some reports said Larkin committed to the Air Force Academy in the 2014 recruiting cycle. But he actually went to the Air Force Academy Preparatory School. The Preparatory School is a 10-month program that often leads would-be cadets to the Air Force Academy. But Larkin decided not to hang around Colorado Springs. After the program ended, Larkin came back to Florida and enrolled at USF.

Recruiting Rankings: Larkin was not ranked by any of the recruiting services.

Follow Him On... Brooks is on Twitter at @the_real_Larkin. His Instagram is at brookslarkin. It appears Brooks has seriously trimmed back his beard from last year and may have lost his title as USF Facial Hair Champion. We shall see if he can reclaim the championship.
