#68 OL Michael Galati - Redshirt Junior, 6’3”, 298 lbs.
2016 Stats: Going into the season it looked like Galati would inherit the starting center spot. But after some reshuffling during the summer, the job went to Cameron Ruff. There weren’t many opportunities to rotate the line because the offense had to keep scoring points, so the backups didn’t get much action. Galati appeared in games against Northern Illinois and Cincinnati.
2015 Stats: Galati was the backup center to Brynjar Gudmundsson and appeared in games against Florida A&M, SMU, and Cincinnati.
2014 Stats: Michael took his redshirt year.
How He Came To USF: Like his fellow lineman Brooks Larkin, Michael went to Manatee High School in Bradenton. He played all across the offensive line and at tight end, helping the Hurricanes win the Class 7A state championship in 2011. In 2013, his senior year, he was second team all-state in Class 8A. Galati committed to USF in August 2013.
High School Highlights: Michael has all three years’ worth on his Hudl page. Here are the senior year highlights.
Recruiting Rankings: 247 and Rivals gave Galati two stars. Scout and ESPN gave him three stars.
