ATH Jontrey Hunter
6'3", 195 pounds
Sickles High School, Tampa, FL
Recruiting Ratings: Listed as a 2-star by Rivals.
Other Notable Offer: Iowa State. It should be noted that USF has straight jacked ISU for several of these recruits. The Cyclones have been the most common Power 5 team that appears on these offer lists. Iowa State was able to beat out USF for 3-star corner Anthony Johnson Jr. from St. Pete, but for the most part they’ve struck out in their attempts to pry their way into Florida this recruiting cycle.
After playing wide receiver and corner at Alonso High School for the first two years of his prep career, Hunter transferred to Sickles in 2016, where he put on 15 pounds and moved to free safety.
Given his coverage abilities and experience as a receiver, USF may feel they can use him in multiple roles, whether at corner, safety, or on offense catching passes as a receiver.
Oddly enough, this is the first Tampa recruit to verbally commit to this class. Weird.
Also, check out these highlights from him at a recent 7-on-7 camp at USF of him MOSS'ING MULTIPLE PEOPLE AND CELEBRATING WITH A BARREL ROLL. A BARREL ROLL!!!!

As always, don't tweet at recruits. Why do we keep saying this you ask? Here's a primer. Follow it.
