USF Football Player Profile: #52 OL Michael Wiggs

Career profile of USF offensive lineman Michael Wiggs.

NCAA Football: Illinois at South Florida Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

#52 OL Michael Wiggs - Redshirt Sophomore, 6’3”, 300 lbs.

2017: Appeared in four games during the season. He’s the projected starter at center heading into the 2018 campaign.

2016: Wiggs used his redshirt year. The offensive line was quite durable, so even if the old staff had thought about using him, there wouldn’t have been much of a chance.

How He Came To USF: Michael played left tackle for Lakeland's Lake Gibson High School and was on the varsity all four years. In his senior year, he helped the Braves run for 2,109 yards and 31 TDs as they climbed out of an 0-3 hole to make the 2015 Class 6A playoffs. For his efforts, he was named to the Class 6A all-state second team.

High School Highlights: Right here.

Recruiting Rankings: Wiggs was given two stars by 247 and Rivals. Scout and ESPN each gave him three stars.
