The 5’5” true freshman out of Miami is starting to make a case for AAC Rookie of the Year honors at the end season.
Through six games played this season, he’s ninth in the conference in rushing with 462 yards and seven touchdowns. His 8.6 yards per carry currently ranks second in the conference behind Memphis’ Darrell Henderson, who’s still running at a ridiculous 10.1 yards per touch.

To no surprise, Houston’s D’Eriq King was named the AAC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday for his otherwordly afternoon vs. the USF defense. The Cougar QB was also named the Walter Camp Offensive Player of the Week and earned himself the honor of being named as a Maxwell Award semifinalist.
As for Ford and USF, they will try to regroup this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. when returning home to face Tulane.
